Lambs in the fields? It must be Spring!

For those who don’t know, alongside the day job, Millie is often found on the family farm in the Cotswolds. She has spent the last few weeks helping out with lambing, which is an incredibly busy time for farmers. The wet weather has done its best to make things challenging this year, but the first signs of Spring are finally here and it’s starting to show in the property market.

Traditionally, Spring is the perfect time to list a property. The sun is shining, the flowers are starting to bloom and the newborn lambs are everywhere to be seen. This is not a pattern we have followed over the last few years with COVID knocking the market out of sync. However, as we return to a more ‘normal’ market, mortgage rates are as settled as they have been for a while, and at EB&P we have a list of properties gearing up for a Spring launch. We feel this will have a knock-on effect across the market, and we will start to see the available stock rising, and more sales being agreed. We are advising many clients to avoid missing the market, and get their property listed sooner rather than later. With a potential general election looming, there’s no time like the present to get on the market while the flowers are out.

The bank holiday could be the ideal time to have those big family chats, or even get some Spring cleaning done. Whatever you are doing with your bank holiday, we wish you a very Happy Easter. Millie will be making the most of the bank holiday weekend with only 7 sheep left to lamb!
